First pre-beta candidate is live! 💪


Hello co-conspirators!

The pre-beta phase I has officially started! Last week I shared version v0.2.18 to the alpha testers which was the first beta candidate. They've been really helpful in finding new bugs, with special mention going to newcomer Illuminati Taffy-nay, who discovered an odd bug that would only appear by playing the tutorial and the game in a specific order. It was hard to find and a pain to solve, but it's dead! 💀 Other weird bugs discovered include one that would crash the game when you clicked on Greenland. No one had tried it before so it had slipped through our initial nets, You know those vikings.....they are fierce! In my headspace this is what's going on:

Once we defeat all these bugs, you might ask what's next. As you know I'm a lone dev, so it's important for me to take it step by step making sure I can handle all incoming feedback/bugs/suggestions. Once the alpha testers give me the thumbs up for phase I, I'll start phase II of the beta, in which I'll select 10 random beta testers (from those who don't have a key yet), and give them access to the build. If that version is kosher, then it's off to full beta!  

Alpha Change Log

v0.2.18 Is live.  It includes:

🔹Difficulty modifier system is implemented 

🔹Reworked the Global Exposure UI to make it easier to see when a modifier will trigger 

🔹Added 9 initial modifiers. I plan to add more in the coming weeks Including effects such as Free regions converting your units 

🔹Added some new traits for Regions (such as Increased Awareness  & Privacy Legislation.) 

🔹A slew of bug fixes small and large
